Bonus to be paid quarterly according to rank.
Rank to be calculated weekly.
Bonus to be calculated weekly off that weeks ranking and miles.
Platinum: $.03 per mile
Gold: $.02 per mile
Silver: $.01 per mile
Bronze: maybe $.005 or 0
So a gold driver at 9,000 miles a month can pull in an extra $180 a month.
Should be details messaged out in the next few weeks.

Bronze should not get any bonus.
If you are at the lowest ranking, there should not be any reward.
I am currently bronze, by the way.
That said, the ranking system needs to be revised.
It needs to be based more on safety and performance.
The only reason I am now bronze, and not still gold, is that I had a lemon truck for 6 months that was in the shop for nearly 6 weeks of that time.
It cut my miles so low that I went from gold to silver to bronze in a matter of several weeks.
And since it is based on a yearly average, it will take some time to pull out of that slump.
I will even go so far to say that some other things should be factored in.
Idle time.
Out of route mles.
Turn down rate. (although that rate should not include Plus-1 loads that were initially turned down for times, and then accepted because the revised times were within the customers needs)
Many of these facors would set me down in ranking.
I generally have high idle times.
My out of route miles are sometimes too high.
My turn down rate is sometimes very high, because I adjust the times pretty often or I am sent loads that I simply can't do in the time frame.
When all is said and done, I doubt that I will do anything different to get that bonus.
I go with the flow, and I don't believe in stressing out.
I am not about to change my habits to get an extra cent or two, because it would also probably make me less safe on the road. -
But now the ranking will be done WEEKLY.
And the miles for that week calculated at that rank.
So the bonus might be some weeks gold, some silver .. etc.
And some good ideas on other criteria for bonuses.
But it seems Swift is interested in motivating people to run more miles.
And of course, the more factors you add in, the harder it would be to program the computer.
Guess they'll be using the plus one guys, so 'forget about it!' -
If they use the Plus-1 people we will all be bronze, forever.

How do you run more miles? I show up to deliver a load ASAP, only taking ten hr breaks, plan my days to beat utilize my hours. Like today... I show up to shipped at 0800 like instructed and sit for 3-4 hours to get loaded... Burning my 14... Only way to make that up is stoping only for fuel and scales. Thoug I did take 6 mins to run to the lil girls room. 6.5 hrs straight without stopping and still barely get 450 miles for the day. Too much depends on other factors. This will only encourage other drivers to turn down shorter loads for the better longer loads...

I don't turn down a load hoping for a better one.
The only loads I turn down are loads that I can't safely do in the time allotted.
But, I also don't like to run 'hard' - meaning strict 10 hour breaks and no time to stop as I need to.
That is a safety factor to me.
When I get a 'next load assignment' I figure for 12 hour sleep breaks (as opposed to 10), and at least an hour for driving-time breaks during a 600 mile shift.
If I can't do it within those margins, I turn it down with my own times. -
Cool I stay gold all the time because every time I get to Platinum I have it for a week and back to gold. For mentors i have to run more miles that suxs
