If you drive safely, then you wont have to worry about any legal services..

I have that too. I looked at the prepaid legal companies and figured out who had the best services for the lowest price and Driver's Legal was the one. Jim Klepper, who I believe founded it, used to be a Texas DOT officer.

You know KW brings up a good point in that if you drive safely you won't need it. I think its a bit of a mind game in that if you do have the lawyer insurance you are apt to drive a little more carelessly. It makes you feel as if you have some sort of safety net so you find yourself taking more chances. In reality its not a safety net and you will find they will quickly go by the wayside when you need them. Its a great money maker though because no matter how many unhappy people quit their services or had a bad experience for every one of them they sign up probably 500 new drivers who nothing about the industry nor the "insurance".

I personally am tired of being accosted by them every time I walk by their podium in the truck stop! Thank god for paperless Fuel and go'!

So basically it's like any other prepaid legal just geared to drivers??

That's what I figured. I pay x amount a week and all I basically gives me is a slight discount for the lawyer. I have the Internet. I can use search and find a lawyer. I also have my old lawyer in Memphis,TN that I paid a retainer to so I always had someone to help answer legal questions. I was an EMT and lawsuits are rampant against the medical field. EMTs are big targets. Had personal malpractice insurance to.

Well looks like my original thoughts were correct. No prepaid.

    Thanks for the help guys.

I used mine when I had a ticket I was fighting. While I was out on the road making $, the lawyer appeared for me in court. The officer never showed up so the ticket was dropped. The benefit for me was that I didn't have to take a day or two off work to go back up to NYC, find a place to park the truck, go over to Brooklyn to the courthouse and appear. To me, that was worth the price of hiring the lawyer and the cost of faxing all the paperwork over to them.

Oh and the one TVC kiosk you can usually walk by without someone asking you to sign up is at the TA in Monroe MI. The lady there is usually in a skirt and heels and there's usually at least one or two drivers standing there talking to her...wait did I say talking? I meant drooling over her.
