Was reading hrough the posts ans see that someone mentioned getting it ex sponged. Someone in the business can better answer this. Although, from the applications I have been looking at, ask about felony's in the past 10 years.
-
I think I already know the answer to this, but does anyone know if you can stay overnight at the Florida turnpike service plazas? I'm headed down by Miami tomorrow and I want to get as close to my 99 as I can. The next closest place I can find is a long ways north.
-
Yea pretty much all service plazas allow you to park over night. I know there a few in the Chicago area that say 2 hr limit but even those it's possible to park for a 10 I've done it before mid day with no issues. Also there is a truck stop in west Miami area I went to park there once the book said free but it's pay to park and looked a bit shady to me but was "fenced" in with "security" so to speak but fills up really fast.passion4polishing Thanks this.

Knight didn't have enough miles, runs are generally short so you spend more time sitting in a dock and less time driving.
Pride seemed like a good company and had lots of miles. My health failed me so I wasn't with them very long. -
Any other Central drivers here have Google Latitude?

I've read the stories on waiting forever on meat loads. I've had such a horrible week with loads it's ridiculous. And now, going on 42 hrs waiting for my load to be ready. Swift meat / jbs grand island, ne. 15 phone calls and so many QC messages I can't count them. Max detention pay isn't enough to put up with this bs. I must of pizzed someone off.
-
nope you didn't thats just a typical meat plant. The usda must have things held up for you to be there that long. I would be asking for another load.
-
BS like that warrants layover pay! And they will pay it , you just have to demand it. I'm a lease op and I get it every time I get held up or "stuck" somewhere. If your DM won't approve it go over their head to the terminal manager. Remember, if you're an asset to the company they'll bend over to help you. If you're a risk or a liability, they'll let you sit there for 2 days with just 8 or9 hrs of detention.. Crap like what you're going through is where they see just how determined you are to succeed. They assume everyone is here for just a check, prove them wrong!
-
And I thought my 10 hr wait was bad, I should've been thankful it was only 10!
