Hey guys im gonna say sorry now but have a question about pay.. What does a truck driver make a week/month/ and year driving a truck averaging about 3000 miles a week? Im debating on whether to get back on a truck after my short visit with Werner. Im thinking im gonna go with Steven's but Swift is another possibility. any info is greatly appreciated and once again im sorry for posting this cause im sure its somewhere on this form. thanks

well you figure it out at .35¢ per mile, .42¢ per mile, etc, etc.
and figure it out at 2000 miles. -
Blackhawk you're not going to receive 3000 miles a week on a consistant basis. You're looken at 25 to 30 k in pay your first yr.If Stevens and Swift gave drivers 3000 miles a week then they would'nt have such a high turnover rate. You'll make anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00 a week.Which explains why many drivers get cash advances.

Ya that's true. I was just wondering if it's something I should do again but 30k is a lot more than what I making now so I'm gonna research it some more then prolly call one of them

i drive for transam and have had $1300 week and $200 dollar week avg has been about 800 over 3 months, After all is said and done stevens drivers seem to stay busier than swift

Consider Prime also, I've been out here less then a year, and I make much more then what was previously quoted.
About the same as Transam -
if you can get a local job you can make much more

My brother made about $50K his first full year at Trans AM. But that was the old Trans Am, not the new and improved shove-a-lease-down-your-throat Trans Am.
I'm starting with Crete at $0.34/mile in 2 weeks. Basing what to expect with miles based on Majestyk's posts, I could average 2500-2700 miles a week pretty easily. About $850-918 gross ($680 at 2000 miles). I don't have a family, so not much need for home time. Right now at my current job I take home $1315 every 2 weeks, so I know I'll be taking home a bit less than I am now. -
ya,prefereably the ones that pay by the hour.My local job pays by the trip.

well i live in FL so jobs that are hiring for CDL drivers all require at least 1+ year experience and thats the problem I was only with Werner for about 3 months and I got off my trainers truck and went home. Is Prime a good company to work for? I Havent heard anything about them...
