I'm working on the "on-line" portion of the school....going very well!
I got a "pre-hire" letter from USX today!
Looks like they've made a few changes to their website as well as every category of driver job for Jacksonville!
Can't wait to finish school and get the show on the road!

Finished the on-line portion of NATIONAL TRAINING Drivers school, took the Final Exam, then when I clicked to review my answers the whole test disappeared and the answers were gone, so I emailed the school webmaster, hope he can straighten it out on Monday, otherwise I may need to take the FINAL again.........and got my DOT Physical on Monday, hope that goes ok........I'm looking to get into the June 26 class.

I recently finished the 2 months team training. I'm an old fart, first teammate didn't seem to quite mesh with my laid back attitude. So we split after one month. They had me run solo for about 10 days, (at singular trainee $ rate, in other words, no increased pay) and after a 3 day hometime I got another teammate, we hit it off great. He was young enough to be my son. And we did some awesome long runs and made good cash too (one week was take home of $1,200). Of course, that was going with PerDiem too.

I'd team with him again in a heartbeat, but I wanted to run solo awhile to spend long needed time with my wife.

I suppose it's just simply luck of the draw. You might find another newbie with the right attitude/personality that works with yours, or you might not.
either way, I don't think you can get around it, and it really isn't all that bad.

Always helps to have those extra eyes! Especially in tight docking situations. Had three cases in the last two weeks of blindside (no other option). Also had one nightmare backing experience (solo) in Washington, PA trying to back into a dock off the city street right downtown... steel poles on each side of the drive entrance. Took me an hour to squeeze in, luckily one of the managers were available to spot for me... otherwise, I'd still be there trying to dock!

HARLEY, thanks for that! I'll go thru the process or whatever is required.....I'm like you, laid back in my old age. My brother is waiting for me to get in as a SOLO and then he wants to be trained by me......is that possible? How long do you have to wait to become a trainer? Good Luck to you!

BigDipper.....you have to be with USX for one year AFTER your upgrade date and then you can train.

If you choose to team with your brother you can after he gets 120 hours. And continue his training.
