Hi and welcome, of course I'm 'new but new'. :yes2557:

I was wondering why you want to get back into driving? (or do we call it trucking?). Why did you stop?

Besides fuel prices what has changed? A short recap is all I need but the more you write the more we'll learn.

I've never been a trucker but looking at a career change. Other than the times I was listening to a J Cash, R Sovine, or McCall song I never thought about driving a big rig, but now it looks like something I'd like to do.

So you getting back in, may shed so light on my research.

    Thanks

I hauled steel for about 7 yrs. and loved it. Company sold and got rid of their drivers and hired lease drivers. I was offered a good non driving job and took it. About 5 yrs later that company sold & moved to Mexico. :biggrin_2556: Went into Real Estate for the last 7 yrs but its not paying the bills, and I've missed driving ever since I left. Can't wait to get back on the road again. :biggrin_25519:

Mainly the technology has changed, no GPS or cell phones back then. Also here in NY I need a Metal Coil Endorsment now, didn't need it back in the 90s.

Good luck on the career change!

    Cy Ran Thanks this.
