Bar none the best. Astatic and Telix swiped the mike switch but use poorer mike elements. Uniden picked apart it's design concepts to create the 146 GTL, later the 148. From there the basis for every big radio design was created to the top line Exports of today. Each step away the design got poorer in performance. Lo's more spectrally impure, RX noise floor got higher. No CB ever built and put on the market can out hear this model and never will.

Galaxy DX949 P&T and an RFX 75 by Bells CB . I run a Wilson Trucker 2000 antenna. Finally got the SWR within reason, 1.2 on CH 1 and 1.8 on Ch40. For now I'm using the stock Cobra mic off my old Cobra 29 NW.
