I thought they had to notify you at least 30 days in advance and give you first right of refusal. Now I'm going to have to go back and read my contract again.

 

Stevens reserves the right to provide a substitute tractor at any time.

 

Dropped my load early and picked up a Campbells soup load. Brought back to the yard this morning.
Got everything cleared today.
Having coversations with 'select' people tomorrow morning.

BTW, found out Stevens sold 20 T-2000's that have to be on the boat friday. A little chaos on the yard as these drivers are bringing in their trucks, cleaning them out and getting their new ones.
What a mess!

The order for the new 680's was placed and 20 of them are arriving this week. Don't know the total for sure. The educated guess is 500....pretty much standard fare.

Soooo, it has been awhile. I am home working now. I miss the road like crazy. Looking into new opportunities, wishing I hadnt left stevens so hastily, just thought it was a matter of saving my home life. I left the truck at the Kenworth in Salt lake as advised by my DM and still Stevens put abandoned truck, not eligible for rehire on my DAC. Oh well, my fault. Dont know if anyone will hire me but I cannot give up without a fight, I think about driving all the time. It seems whatever got in my blood is in no hurry to leave. Miss you all. Shifty.

 

Thats really tough, especially since your DM OK'd leaving the truck there. Hang in there, maybe you can get a job through a smaller company that respects Stevens training, but will listen about the situation with your truck. Good Luck.

Are all the 680's automatics or can you choose to go stick?
