Are any of you guys having any problems with the GPS not letting you enter street numbers? Especially a small town within a larger city. If anyone one can give me any feed back that world be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the number is not listed in the database, or it is listed as a different city/town.
Instead of entering the street number, try pressing the List button. Then you can choose the range of numbers closest to your desired destination.
Or the database will sometimes have the address listed in the neighboring city. -
If you have a phone w/ internet, google the name and zip of the city, and you can enter the zip code. That normally solves any problems I have. You know there is a support thread in the electronics section of TTR.

I do not have a gps,do not plan on getting one, know nothing about them, and have been going to and from all types of places for in excess of two decades driving a truck. how have drivers like me been doing so without using a gps? not attempting to be sarcastic, but it seems to me that TOO many drivers have an unnatural dependence on a gps.I don't think it is only the new breed either.
i use a cell phone and the cb and my road atlas or the broker i pull for or the one that got me the load to get me in and out.Can someone explain to me, please, why a gps is so important when they seem to get you,and keep you, messed up as often as they work properly? just curious as the dependence is a heavy one it seems by the drivers that (attempt to) use a gps.i hope you get your situation resolved.jadtdd Thanks this. -

I use mine as a guide on the highway. It's nice to be reminded that your exit is coming up, but it's not a necessity. I find my GPS absolutely invaluable when traveling city streets. Traveling in Chicago a lot, I can't imagine trying to find my way thru that city with all of the under and over passes without a GPS.jadtdd Thanks this.

I used mine to primarily get ETA's, so if I knew I was going to be somewhere early, I would call ahead to secure an earlier delivery time.

hit expand search when you're choosing the city, often the address you're looking for is actually in a neighboring town/suburb.
jadtdd Thanks this.
