As some of you know, I have not been at this long, but deff consider myself a success. I made sure to do my homework, asked questions and read alot of post. Then did it all again. I set goals for myself and stuck to them. Lots of you guys have said it, its a buisness first and formost. Matter of fact I will change my statement, the company is a success amd I as the driver am making good pay.
Pullingtrucker said it best, attitude and appearance does alot. My best account actually solicited me for the work, he said he approached me because I was always polite, greeted him with a smile and the one time I had to wait to get unloaded he noticed I took the wait time to clean up my truck. Granted, most of the trucks coming into his warehouse are company trucks out of a ruff area of NJ. that are not the best to look at.
I plan on paying off my truck in 2 years max, I am already looking into purchasing another and putting a driver in it. Not that I havent had set backs. My truck, which I love, has had its issues, as I type away, it sits in the shop again.LOL But I thankfully listened to the advice given and had money set aside especially for the rainy days. I can afford to sit home and enjoy the time with my family and as soon as the truck is ready i will hit the road running and push a little harder to make up the time and money lost.

If being an O/O were easy... Well, doesn't that sound a little too good to be true?
