And im back...I havent been on here since the first central truck stop (used to have the handle "Real gone katt") Anyhow, I was a central driver starting the winter before last (my 1st trucking job) through to April, about 6months in all. I had to come home due to an illness in the family and had to be here for mom, so it has been back to turning wrenches ever since. Come winter I plan on getting back in a truck, I really do miss it believe it or not haha. I never really had any issues with central and plan on trying to get back on with them. Does anyone know if they are open to re-hire? I brought the truck back to the terminal and left on good terms but I never did finish my year to pay back tuition, strangely enough I never got a bill though (?) I imagine I will have to ride with an instructor for a month again which is fine, I still have my CDL in good standing with no tickets or duis or anything so I think I might have a shot. If not then I was considering US Express among a few others but I already know the deal at CRS...So any input would be appreciated, Any of my old buds still on here? (This is Bryan Lawrence) is 1badz still on here? Dave Rouche (my trainer)? Tony Nevada? Thanks again, sorry for the lengthy post.

Today was at crsco. Why they thought there would be an empty I don't know. Took hours to find an empty, only to find out my load was canceled. Another time was that Americold in Atlanta, and I've looked for trailers at the Ocala drop yard. There's people in Conley who've been waiting three days for empty

man i really dont know about rehire i guess all you can do is call and ask. im with a co called road link we haul containers out of the port and we are actually hiring thing is you gotta live in the savannah area. they will take new drivers with 6 mo experiance and who have graduated from an accreteded school like centrals. we run on average 500 a day out and back so you are home everynight and off on weekends its a really sweet deal.

I tried getting a rehire with central and was turned down a couple months ago now. I think its honestly a computer toss up if they will re hire you or not.

Hey Jinxey i got a rehird from Central after a short stint on medical leave. I was out not quite 6 months. Was running team with my wife and we had a pretty good record with them.
Wont hurt to try. If not there are many companies out there. Where are you living and whats your total experience? -
I have a ?i am looking to get into truck driving and i think central is my best option i have read every page of this thread and i was wondering what is centrals policy on toll roads do they pay them or do you front the money and they pay you back or how does it work thanks in andvance for your answers

They give you a prepass that covers tolls east of the Mississippi for the most part. They don't route you on the other toll rds except maybe KS and OK and they'll reimburse you for those as a company driver, I think.. It's been a while since I drove as a company driver. Maybe one of the others knows for sure.
Shardrk Thanks this.
