Yep, maybe they rotate orientation sites or something, I don't know. I know Jacksonville has been used for orientation, I've seen several guys mention it before.

The way the yards for ARNOLD and USX are set up side by side they share some sort of close relationship!

USX owns either the majority share or all of Arnold and Smith Transport, its one or the other I cant remember the full details but in some way shape or form they are under USX control now

So far the best company I have found is Maverick if you don't mind flatbed. Their starting pay was around .36 or .38 cpm on all miles. Their home office is 6 miles from my house so it would have been sweet if I could have gotten on with them. I have a 9 yro felony that has been a thorn in my side and once again blocked a great opportunity. The recruiter I spoke said I could sign on as an experience driver after 6 months though. Not sure how that would work with tuition reimbursement though.

A recruiter from schneider came to the school the other day and their pay was higher too. They also are one of the 5 companies approved by the military for OJT which means you can draw your GI Bill for 12 months as well as your regular pay. I'm applying with them too because of that. I can't stand their ugly orange trucks lol but an extra grand a month I can learn to love it lol.

The Jacksonville terminal is actually an Arnold terminal. USX owns Arnold. They only own a share of Smith. The JAX terminal has a service center. Never heard of them doing orientation there for USX, but things change all the time. I did my orientation in Tunnel Hill. Once, when I was at Ellenwood, I saw them doing an Arnold orientation there.

BTW, Besides Arnold they also own Total, Abilene and C&C.
