Drugs VS two logbooks.......sorry, no comparison. Whenever I fudged on my logs, it was because I needed an extra hour to finish my day, not because I was trying to drive Atlanta-Fresno in 36 hrs solo. However, your point is taken.

I don't recall anyone glorifying running multiple logbooks who didn't get an ### chewing unless they were talking about the good old days 20-30 years ago, but back then the DOT pretty much accepted that drivers did that sort of thing.

I agree that an unsafe driver is an unsafe driver; however, drug use takes it to a whole new level

i don't have to run with 2 log books. i do not have an EOBR.

i am a day cab driver, rarely putting in more than 40 hours a week.

except for last week when my truck broke down 6 times in one night.

by golly, i worked 43 hours that week, and am i ever exhausted.

How are your math skills? Lets see if they're up to snuff shall we?

    1. The term super trucker is a term used to describe someone who thinks they know it all when in fact, they do not. In other words, its a derogatory term sort of like calling someone an idiot or a moron.

    2. You seem fond of using the term super trucker to describe anyone who has more experience than you.

    3. You can't seem to figure out why those on this forum with more experience than you give you a bad attitude.

So here's where the math comes in. Add up 1 and 2 and see if it doesn't make 3 easier for you to understand. Respect needs to be earned. You're not showing any and yet you can't figure out why you're not getting any back.

So you're saying people say things on the internet they wouldn't say to each other in person. And you're putting us down for doing it which suggests you're a better person who doesn't do it. Tell ya what kiddo. Put your money where your mouth is and prove it. Go to any truck stop and repeatedly call the drivers super truckers to their faces. Video tape it so we can all enjoy you getting you butt beaten to a pulp and handed back to you later.

I haven't sterotyped anyone I simply said SOME NOT ALL TRUCKERS do drugs so worry about the ones that's on the road high and stop worrying about the drug users that won't make it.

If you need to smoke a little meth to deliver your load on time I don't see what the big deal is.. as long as you don't care about your career. In a few years I'd guess that hair follicle testing will be pretty much mandatory industry wide. If you are thinking of using drugs keep that in mind and stay clean.

Edit: I don't actually believe truckers should be using meth, just some bad sarcasm.

The reason some old hands might give you wannabe's a hard time is that we have seen and heard all of your crap before .
So to us it is just another dip shlitz running off at the mouth about things that they know nothing about and won't last long enough in the industry to learn.

So I will ask you to not take it to personally if we don't treat you like you are the second coming of Christ and the savior of the trucking industry.

If you last even half as long as long as most of the super truckers you are complaining about you might have an idea of just how tiring it can be to the same old act day after day.

The thing to remember is no one in this industry owes you a thing ! You will have to earn everything you get just like us old hands have done it . So go ahead and show us that we are wrong about our first impression of you . I really hope you can.

I would also suggest that all newbie's learn to use the search feature on this and other web sights so we are not subjected to the same questions over and over again .

But I could be wrong about the whole thing because I too might be a super trucker and not even be aware of it ! If I am then I guess I need to be nicer .

Biggest part of that I can agree with.
