I'm delivering tomorrow morning in Magnolia Texas. I have a curtainside trailer right now. What do you think I can expect as far as getting a load out of here? I haven't hauled a lot of curtainsides, Do you think they'll just have me pick up another load with the curtainside or pick up a flatebed somewhere?
Also, I don't know how to slide tandems, so hopefully I won't have to do that if I keep the curtainside. Otherwise I might me asking other drivers for help!

qualifying question, where did you get the curtain from? and, when are you due home? Cause if you've got time, and you didn't pick it up nearby, they're not going to want to drop an empty curtain, they'll have you keep it. can't help about freight, through. haven't been to texas in 3 years, and when I was in Laredo, they deadheaded me 600 miles into Louisiana. But, from what I hear, we've picked up a bit, sales-wise in TX.

I've loaded shingles, James Hardie siding, and some kind of aluminum stuff from Alcoa in a curtainside out of TX. I've also loaded some funky kinds of lumber and plywood pfrom the port in Houston. The key to loading curtains is to not use the blinker as a center point. Go about two feet towards the front of trailer and use that as a center point. If you are splitting the load up for shingles or rocks put the front of the front pallet over the center of the rear drive tire and work back. In the back of the trailer put the edge of the last pallet between the tandems and go forward. Watch the forklift drivers they like to load heavy in the rear like a normal spread axle flat bed.

Brought a load of Steel roll up garage doors (industrial type) from Phoenix to Houston for delivery Monday morning. Sitting at the cons since about 3pm today. Tomorrow will tell what kind of load out of Houston. You know what... it's to stinking hot here!!

I picked it up in Marshfield, and technically i'm due home today, which is upstate NY. So they'll definitely be trying to get me home somehow. Though I doubt it will be a direct shot home.
Just got unloaded by the way. I've been waiting about a half hour now, no biggie. Just as long as it doesn't end up being 4 or 5 hours like in Fargo ND last week... -
Well, hopefully sales for Roehl have been up in Texas, because that makes two of us waiting for a load out of Houston, lol.
