Sitting, waiting for a dock at US Cold Storage in Minooka with four other VW andabout a dozen other trucks. Supposed to head home after this. Looks like I'll be waiting awhile.

 

No presence sensed but definitely was a foul stench in the air

 

Change of plans as is always with trucking. I'm now waiting to not only get my trailer unloaded, but two others as well. After they're unloaded, I need to shag them to a shipper 45 mins away before I deadhead home. Found out this customer is still unloading freight from yesterday so looks like I'll be here all night and into the morning. Getting paid detention and shag pay so all is good.

 

still sitting at home...leaving out tonight...I was going to leave this afternoon...but it would have been too tight on the back end if I 10 hour'd it after getting parked...and where I have to go in Chy town there is no good place to set up...

 

Started my day at 0030 today by moving the first of two trailers from Minooka, IL to Tyson in Ottawa, IL. Then went back to Minooka to get my trailer and head home. Arrived at home by 1030 then showered and went to my parents for lunch. Not sure I will ever volunteer to do this again as it made for a very long night waiting, waiting and waiting. I guess it depends on what I end up getting compensated for and that will be a conversation I have with Mike tomorrow.

Supposed to go back out Tuesday morning but that was set up when I was going to be home Saturday afternoon. I think I'd rather leave on Wednesday to recharge after two weeks of running hard.

 

If you shagged trailers so that other trucks could move on to other loads that needed moving, your time should be worth a decent premium.

 

Back on the road after a heckuva 34 hour break for which I was at my house for a grand total of 2 hours...

Made it to Nevada, Mo today before I called it quits. I am beat. Gotta get her done tomorrow. Drop @ PFG in Little Rock then onto Abingdon, VA for Weds morning.

Where do we get reloads in SW Virginia?

 

Some peanut/ peanut butter joints in NC, also some Smithfield loads out of NC too.

 

don't be surprised if you go back down to Goodletsville, TN or up to Harrisonburg/Mt. Crawford, VA...

 

sitting at my first stop....which is first come first serve...but my appt was at 0500 but they dont open til 0530... the interesting part is I am right by Oprahs studios for her show...lol
