I've done this delivery as well and my 2nd stop afterward revealed a great secret squirrel parking area. If you take the Pulaski St exit off I-55 (which is right before I-94), turn north to first stop light (36th St), turn left and 36th St is actually U shaped. The street is very wide and you can park on either side. Its all industrial and not a bad place to park. There are actually a couple trucking company terminals on the street as well. No place to eat but if you need to stage close to downtown, its about as close as you can get.Last edited: Jun 25, 2012
huskerfan86 Thanks this. -
Thanks for that truck parking info, always nice to find a hole in the big cities to shut down in if need be.

Pulaski is Exit 287, for those who might like to be extra safe about finding this place.
Off until Wednesday, then maybe west. Maybe.notezbngrn71 Thanks this. -

Pretty much a lost day here in WI. Made my delivery at 0700 at Baraboo then got a 2 p/u load in Appleton and De Pere but last p/u is scheduled for 2100 and they won't load early so guess I will run out of hours here. Deliver tomorrow at 12 in Ankeny,Iowa shouldn't be a problem. Anyone have a suggestion on a coffee maker for the truck?
-
@mushroom.. have you ever used a keurig? they can be pretty easy to use/clean... not the best coffee in the world tho..
i'm debating how i want to put my tv/360 in here w/out drilling holes and mounting it like I had in my previous truck.. anyone have a good idea? -
I am sitting at hormel in Austin with a meat load from cargill in beardstown il...what a cluster that cargill is.....I just made it here by splitting my log coming out of chicago....i wanted to get to cargill sooner but was completely exhausted by the time i hit up a pilot for an 8 hour snooze... it was well worth the time....even with the 8 hour break my load wasnt ready right away...and i have had to race my 14 hour clodk just to make it...now i am out of hours...
