Mr Sergio is a new one. I call it a wake up slap! One reason not everyone can handle pulling a shotgun bore tank. It take quiet hands and patience. If you know how to shift with the liquid it is not a problem on your suspension or driveline.. It is all about the drivers abilities. Getting paid is not important at all if you are pulling for a good company.. If the pay is right and the relationship it develops with its drivers are of the right nature, your pay will reflect all that you do. It doesn't necessary need to be broken down to each individual incident. These virgin product companies are just like the common carriers hinding behind the stigma of its a tank. They hire immature drivers, less than 6 yrs experiece. With the promise of hire wages. beware

If you're down with hauling hazardous waste and are experienced, you can call my company about a tanker slot. They're based there in Dolomite (Birmingham) AL. Fantastic company, excellent pay.

I'm hauling crude oil in south Texas as a company driver, gross $3800-4600 every two weeks, and qualified for great benefits after 90 days. I work 5 days on (70 hours in the electronic logbook), 1 day off (oilfield rules allow for a 24 hour reset), and then every six-eight weeks I get an unpaid week off to go home. We drive Mack daycabs, and live in company bunkhouses for no charge. If you're looking for a relaxed lifestyle, this isn't it. However, if you want to knock down some serious cash, and are willing to work like an indentured servant, this is the way to go. I kind of enjoy making $80-100K with no truck payments and not living in a sleeper..... A year or two of this buys a serious vacation!
There are a lot of these types of jobs in the Texas and N.D. oilfields, but getting hired can be a little difficult. A clean record and tanker experience is definitely required! These companies also look for guys who have successfully lived/worked under trying conditions. My ticket in was just coming back from Iraq, where I spent 3 years as a fuel tanker-yanker for KBR. It also helped that I spent 22 years in the Corps.
I don't get much time to check on these threads, but if anyone wants more details, drop me a line at rheberlig@yahoo.com.WideSkyND and StormyTrucker Thank this. -

hey guys,
can anyone tell me if eagle has a abilities test? i ran flatbeds for the past six yrs so lifting tarps etc doesnt really bother me. (coming from a lifting weight perspective) can someone give details about any pre hire tests they do. one that bothers me is the step test (if they even do it) after a couple minutes stepping on that 12 inch step gets me a bit winded. but getting in and out of truck is easy, crouching under trailer, climbing is all easy. any help is appreciated
thanks!
