Bad driving habits

Did ya'all know there's a fungus that lives in said showers?

 

Pretty much the only trucks slower than me are swift, Schneider, prime, and CR England. Owner ops I know better unless I'm light and they're noticeably heavy in a mountainous terrain then ill move faster. Or sometimes recently I see them talking or texting on the phone doing 55 MPH all over the rumble strip or noticeably tired early or late night running. After a while I notice who's faster so yes that's dumb to pull out for no reason. The only time I do if a car is slow I pull out with the blinker and switch the blinker right away to switch back lanes over same for cops or people broke down. $10-15 for showers once or twice I have paid and used points as well for showers. Most of the time I don't have to pay for showers and have some saved from fuel stops at various locations to shower. But its still 2-3 days, like I said I don't get dirty or sweaty. I close doors and bump docks not tarp and climb all over a load to secure it. Not down playing skateboarders at all just in that aspect I would shower more in that field but I'm not so I don't.

 

Roger that, driver! Being courteous, and patient is a must. And remember driver a clean @$& is a happy @$&.

 

I have a huge problem paying 10.00-15.00 for a shower, especially when I get free showers else where. I guess that's why everything I own is paid for. I don't pay for #### that is free. Let's do some math. Let's say you buy 2 showers a week for 12.50 per shower. That's 25.00 per week. Times that by 4 weeks in a month, and you get 100.00. Times that by 12 months, and you've just thrown away 1,200 a year. I guess that's why I have no debt, and own everything that I have. For some on this site, that's 10% of their yearly income. In my opinion, you'd have to be a fool to pay that.

I take a shower every other day, and consider myself a clean person by regular 9-5 type people standards. I'm especially clean when compared to fellow truckers. My truck remains spotless, to the point where the shoes I wear outside of the truck aren't worn in my truck. My company could offer me a brand new truck right now, and I'd refuse it due to how clean my current truck is, with 170k miles. In this business, it's unrealistic to believe that you can take a shower EVERYDAY. I stay perfectly clean with a shower every other day, and a cab full of hand sanitizer, baby wipes, and disinfectant wipes.

 

It is not an issue of showering everyday. The hand in question, refused to pay for a shower. If I am malodorous, and at truck stop that I do not have points to get a free shower; why would I continue to be needlessly FUNKY, when I can pay for a shower? Here is an equation for you, novice driver that only showers for free: A CLEAN $&@ = A HAPPY $&@.

 

With a little trip planning, there is never a reason to pay for a shower, Mr. Super Trucker. I never have less than 3 showers on my card, therefor preventing me from wasting money needlessly. You keep paying while I keep saving.

Oh, anyone can put 5 years in the little blank spot where it asks your driving experience. lol.

 

Surely you jest, driver! Paying for a shower,has nothing to do with trip planning and/or being a super trucker.

 

You may question my driving experience, but I can assure you, that it is far less dubious than your hygiene, or lack thereof.

 

I'm still laughing when he said the showers were too far away from where he parked but kudos too you all that will stand up against e logs and more government telling us how to run
