    I laugh every time you make that same stupid argument..you might own the truck, but you still work for Marvin May, who is making more than you...(BTW, so am I, and I'm home several times a week, and don't have to worry about breaking out my check book if something on my truck breaks)

    LOL .. I have paid for and already sold 1 truck .. I am on my second Truck .. Everyone works for someone. Truck expenses or any expenses are part of being in business. So you can laugh all you want, I can leave May anytime I want and go somewhere else or use my own Authority ...

    I stayed company driver because, well, my book keeping can less than what it should be to be an O/O. Some guys have what it takes to do that, I give them props. Me, other hand, I prefered to just worry about my load and getting it there on time. Let the company handle the rest of the BS. I saw the fuel bills especially when the prices went back and up. I knew of the other costs by talking to other drivers. I had enough to worry as it was just being a truck driver, I felt it wasn't worth it to add the added stress of being lease driver working up to O/O. Just give me the load, tell me how to get there and let me do it. Fix the crap when it broke and pay for what I did. It worked that way 75-90% of the time. Yes, i was fired, I didn't leave of my own volition. Do I miss it? yes and no, I love traveling but I also love coming home and being home. They say things happen for a reason and I think me getting fired happened for a reason. I'm getting a chance to go back to school I hope and the past 3 1/2 yrs will be stories I can tell in the future. Good luck to those of you guys that are left out there.

    Anyone interested in those items? lol
