can anyone tell me about this model cobra CB? I got 2 of them still in the new box at a yard sale. I don't think the ladies knew what they had. I want to mount a cab in my camper and jeep and since these are the same though that would be better.
Are these good ones or did I waste the little bit of money I spent.

    148 GTL?

That line is a great CB. It's the first one I bought when I started trucking. About $190 new.

They are a great radio, but it may vary a bit, as they have been made in a few different countries over the years. The older ones made in the Phillipines were allegedy the best, that's what I have had for about the last 20 years.

Depends.....where's the radios made at? Look on the back. If they say "Made in the Philippines", then you did real well. If they say "Made in Taiwan" or "Made in Malaysia" then you did ok. If they say "Made in China" then you probably paid about what they are worth.

Are the microphone connectors on the side of the radios or the front panel?

I have always found the Cobra radios from Taiwan just as good as the one built in the Philippines, the ones built by Maxon and the Chinese built Cobras are hit and miss.Usually miss.
