Yea, it's a limited joint venture. PACCAR didn't aqire Tatra. They produce only construction application trucks using Tatra drivetrain and DAF cab...... I think PACCAR engine also.

My 6*4 has roughly 10' back to the fifth wheel, maybe even more when I think about it, maybe 11, I'll measure it when I get back to work, so there would be plenty room for an extended cabInTranzit Thanks this.

We have a o/o that works local around here with a 1988 k100 kw. Very well kept, nice truck. It's the double bunk 100" cab I think, flat top.

Well mate, thanks!
Right at the moment I'm hooked up to my 3 axle step or dropdeck, whatever expression you wanna use.
I used to have a 9 axle exteneble RGN aggregate combination of trailer + jeep + booster. When the economy went and the rates went too I went ahead and sold that thing to a guy in ND. It wasn't profitable for me to kip it and make payments on a quarter million dollar piece of equipment that wasn't bringing the required revenue anymore.Scania man Thanks this. -
I am sure you know about the bridge law and axle spacing requirements.... Daycabs with a single drive axle widely used but pull tripples or lighter weights.

I wasn't talking about single axles, and yes I'm very much aware of bridge laws and how different they can be from one state to another. CA is one weird state. Well these are federal weight bridge laws and they apply everywhere on the federal highway system, but there's also state laws up and above this to be taken in consideration since we don't drive only on federal infrastructure.Last edited: Jun 27, 2012
Scania man Thanks this. -
I was refering to the federal bridge law. The shorter axle spacing the less weight you can legally carry..
Something for EU drivers to look at...
