Check engine light and oil light

Oil pressure seems to be running what all N14's I've driven have run at. As far as the indicator lights,

I would recommend if you can afford to, have a dealer or Cummins shop check the computer. Maybe have a bad wire to a sensor or bad sensor itself.

 

Don't take it to Cummins. The oil light in the older Freightliners was not controlled by the ECM in most cases. Freightliner liked to run a seperate switch/sender for the dash warning lights. Cummins would likely pull it in, do a walkaround and then put it back outside, giving you a small bill and the directions to the nearest Freightliner dealer. It could be a wire, switch/sender, or even a vigil bar (the latter not being inexpensive). Just count yourself lucky the unit doesn't have a Kysor shutdown module on it.
