I have a grey too!! Beautiful birds you have there.
On a serious note. Having an animal ride along in any truck is cruel. Close quarters gives them anxiety and become very territorial.

NERD, while your intitled to your opinion about it being "Cruel", do you have any evidence that "close quarters gives them anxiety and become very territorial"?

My last dog was territorial, just the nature of the breed. Also being territorial isn't a bad thing if you know how to handle a dog.

Dogs and wolves in the wild live in dens, usually a hole they dug in the ground and share it with litter mates and others in the pack. So I'm not sure were you got your information.

Look on youtube they're tons of videos showing animals in close quarters and the effects it has on them.

Yes this is just my opinion, I have a dog. I've also approached many drivers dogs and they always growl and bark when people approach the owners or the truck.
Sure dogs and wolves live in the wild but they can also run around and be active and do their duties when then want to. Trapping a dog in a truck to me is just unhealthy for an animal especially if you smoke a thousand cigs a day like most drivers. Companionship is nice but the dog doesn't have the choice.

Good Dog then !!!!! and by the way MY dog LOVES to ride with me where ever I go !!! He gets PO'ed when I leave him.. and my 4 wheeler PU Truck has less space in the front than a OTR Truck.. So I'm glad you see it as your OPINION.. because thats all it really is ..my dog rides 8-9 months out of the year with me ... only when its to hot do I leave him at the house.. and he would still rather go than stay.. He has only chose to stay home a very very few times..

My dog is a sweetheart till He gets in my truck and I walk away then its HIS Truck !!!! and I dont care if you had him in your lap petting him for hrs..or just got out of my truck He wont let you near HIS Truck if I'm not around LMAO... Best dang dog I have ever had.. !!! The guys at work think its a hoot... They pet him, play with him and have for years....But they know better than to get around my truck with him in it,Then its his domain!! ... :)

Sorry NERD, but this is just silly. Youtube is your proof? Really? A dog with a good temperment is all you need. Personally I want my dog to be territorial. A good dog is supose to growl and bark when someone approaches his domain. I wouldn't own a dog that just wags his tail for everyone, what good is that? You should really open your eyes to what a good dog is. Unless of course it's one of those useless ankle bitters. LMAO.

My parrots would dig the close quarters of my truck. They just dig being around me, period. Well, all of them except the African Grey. He likes being around me, but he's effing neurotic. He plucks himself all to Hades with any change of environment. He's currently all plucked to Hades because I'm not at home. He won't let me touch or pet him, but he likes my presence.

I didn't have anything as exotic as all your birds. You have quite an investment there. I did have a ####atoo for about 15 years. It changed the way I feel about birds. I love birds. He would love to ride on my shoulder in the truck.
Whenever a bird strikes my truck I get real sad. Iv'e noticed alot more of them are getting to close to the truck all of the sudden. It's like it's a game for them. To see how close they can come to it without being hit.

I too was bummed with Schneiders pet policy since I would up keep the rig every but as spotless as it is now and then some. I hate hair and dirt, gotta be able to walk on the rigs floor without getting dirty socks. Unfortunately though I know why they don't want pets in their rigs, thanks to all the groddy pigs who've ruined it. As a solo lady, i'd feel a lot safer with my buddy "Blue" with me. Instead I carry a sledge and 250lbs of weight lifting guns, racing dirtbikes will make you one strong cookie.
