I believe that Tatra Phoemix uses their own trany or a special ZF. Tatra drivetrain it's totally different then any other truck in the world. Patented backbone design were all moving parts are inside the tube like housing. The trany. Is located in the middle of the truck bolted unto the transfer case. The only driveshaft in the drive train it's between the clutch housing and the transmission. Some equipped with winch have a second driveshaft from behind the transfer case to the winch assembly.

lenny drive 2axle you 3axle this is lot of difference , on our conditions nothing except manual gearbox works well in winter you can do whatever you want but still problem

most drivers load little bit forward during winter and you raise air bags and lower trailer to allow it to sit on last axle than first one can be lifted this allows you to bring little more weight on drive

 

BTW, it is easy to install one air bag pressure sensor on trucktor and install axe load display on any truck with air suspention. Trailer weight can be easily got from EBS CAN.

Yes! But that's an old version. New versions are virtually unchanged, same concept but with different suspension. I believe thy're using air ride sus n'our days.
