I assure you, you will be very glad you brought your car to class, no need for both of you really to bring one because I am sure after the first week being roommates you will get along pretty well and will carpool to walmart or to go get food. Believe me any chance you have to get out of the hotel and go somewhere other than class you'll be happy for.

Yeah. Even if I don't need to go anywhere, knowing I couldn't would kill me. Plus will be nice to be able to visit friends in Dayton or Cincinati on the weekend if I have time.

Just some tips I wish I would have known, the rooms have a fridge and a microwave, so the first day go to walmart and get some food so your not eating out every day. There is a walmart under the bridge and to the left (you'll understand when you see it) there is also a McDonalds within walking distance to the hotel. There are a few laundromats within a few miles of the hotel. Ask the front desk people for a coupon for a free gym membership while your staying there (if you like to work out) There is also an outdoor pool if you like to swim. There is a free continental breakfast every morning, that consists of microwavable sausage biscuits, toast, cereal, coffee and some cheap jelly pastries. Standing at the front door the right side of the hotel stinks LOL (used to be the smoking side) I stayed on the right side of the hotel. Its not really that bad but my room was the hangout spot because it smelled better.

My diet mostly consisted of ham loaf while I was there. Remember that the last full week you're in class you'll be on the road. You will want money to eat out unless you like hunger.

Thanks for the tips guys. Looking forward to getting there and getting started.

Did any of you take the bus and if so did you go into Dayton? Looks like its about a 20 min cab ride to the hotel.

Yeah, same here but wanted to make it sound fancy. Also saw my first Millis truck on the road today. Was northbound on I-57 near Mt. Vernon, IL.
