The helix kit is in the main box, top two gears and sliding clutch on the mainshaft. The problem he's having is in the auxillary (rear section) and most likely the syncronizer, shift fork or an excessive end play problem.

I'm lost...... I don't know what to do. this whole situation is costing me time.

Did you purchase the trans from a local shop and is there a warranty agreement on the used trans? If there is a warranty agreement are you within the warranty time frame?
The rear section needs to come off the trans for repair. The trans itself can stay in the truck. If you won't be doing the work yourself, you can get an estimate on the removal, repair and reinstall rear section from local shops. -
the shop finally fixed the issue. all the time I suggested it was gears they insisted that it was air supply. Turns out the overdrive shift fork and gear were way worn out. At least they made it right after I spent a month in and out of their shop and about $350 in fuel driving them around to show them what was doing
