Just hang in there bud, it's almost over. Before you know it you'll be back solo and PAM'll be treating you worse the second time solo, cause you didn't stay teaming. The message they sent me over the qc when I went solo read "this will be your dispatcher during the time you run solo" ... ummm ... I did my six months, Is that like a threat or something? "During the time" I go solo?!? Ummm, I'm staying solo, teaming sucks! You're so silly PAMela! But as to if they care or not about the truck not moving - no they don't. They just want teams (especially for emergency situations) ... if you guys can get it there 3 hours earlier, Pam'll take it. Plus I think I read on here that good ole Mr. Cushman wants to make PAM strictly teams. Don't know how true that is, but the consensus on that (at least on here) is that it won't work. Just be sure to be safe man ... sleep when you have to ... don't kill anybody and keep your license clean!

Hey man, nothing wrong with that! At least you got to experience the whole "team" thing. Now you know its definitely not for you. You either like it or not. There is usually no in between. Some guys prefer it some rather be solo. I myself prefer teaming. That is what I have done most of my career and that is what best suits me personally. It is tough though, no doubt about that!

Yeah, in hindsight; 6 months will merely be a spec on my trucking career and I'm grateful to have been there, done that; sorta like a basic training. Plus I made another friend in life, cause even tho me n my exteammate didn't always see eye to eye,it's sorta like we experienced hell together.

Also if ever asked or given the opportunity to team you will know for sure it is not for you instead of signing a contract or being obligated to team.

Try sleeping o your stomach that's how I finally got sleep in a moving truck it's less stress on your body

I didn't see anyone mention the most obvious solution: figure out a schedule that allows you fall asleep while parked.
Ex:
You drove all night and are exhausted. Your team mate is waking up. You park. YOU go to bed. Your codriver takes his shower kit and goes inside for breakfast. He comes out and had coffee and maybe plays on TTR for an hour or so before engaging the transmission. You have reached REM at least once a s it's the equivalent to waking up at 3 am, checking the clock and going back sleep when he leaves.
At the end of the day, your codriver parks. You wake up and head inside for dinner and a shower. After you eat supper, you hang out in the driver lounge for an hour and call grandma while he heads out to sleep. You let him sleep for at least 2 hours before you leave.
I know at least 1 company that mandates this for teams.
