Sad to say that most dispatch are not CDL card holder, most have never even been in a rig or drive one. Keep in mind that their job is to dispatch loads from point A to point B not giving a rats ### how it gets there. That been said road conditions, weather, lane speed , ect is not taken into consideration. Why do truckers put up with this????????? The common reason why trucker put up with this is #1 fear of losing their jobs if they say something, #2 fear of a bad payday and getting bad loads, #3 Just want to get that one year under his or her belt, ect. However keep in mind that there are so many people coming out of CDL schools that most large companies don't care how they treat their drivers because they can be replaced. I know for a FACT that one company I had work for( not to be name) would try to get drivers fired up or piss them off so they would quit or fire them for something petty. Go luck to you and my fellow truckers!!!!! one day we should just shut it down.

Tell your significant other to keep a journal,as well as a pocket recorder.
Take pics of the messages, and above all remain calm.It will pay off, eventually.
Maybe drop a bug in some ears about how you document/record everything.
That usually puts a scare on em,but some are just plain stupid, and will be
moving on eventually either way.Dispatchers job hop as much as truckers,
you get good ones, and bad ones.
Its also fun to constantly call in with redundant questions, just to help get
them as red arsed as you can.I hope these tips help, but always act like its
no big deal, either way. They want you to participate, and they have plenty of
time to think these things out, while YOUR working.

He does this & call in where to ask redundant questions? Its always a big secret what supervisor's last name's & extentions are is seems. Its all just really LAME! I've beat ppl up for way less, I sincerely don't know how ya'll handle it. IMHO :smt005

I agree there are way too many ppl who won't own up to their own these days. There are also WAY too many people who contradict themselves as well. It's annoying.

Just seems like there should be a better, less time-consuming way to deal with these little jerks, thats all.

You'd think. However, it's quite obvious that the dispatchers couldn't get a #### less about company revenue when their turn-over rate is like 100% lol. To me, logically, a high turn-over would = more $ spent = bad for business. But I guess that's not taking into account gov't kick-back & being able to suck the life out of the new drivers for all they're worth until they finally quit. But, what the hell do I know

between getting jerked over by dispatchers, shippers and consignees, people wonder why drivers have a bad attitude at times.

Not sure if all companies allow it but the one my wife and I teamed for would actually allow you to fire your DM.After numerous arguments about loads we where getting I contacted our Fleet Manager, his response was "Fire Him",huh???

He explained to me that they all made money by drivers making money and we should not have to put up with his ****.He then told me to too send a QC message stating "You're Fired,Have FM contact me."10 mins later I received a phone call from FM,"See,wasn't that easy." followed by a QC message from my new DM.

Needless to say we where speechless.Remember, everyone has a boss, even when they think they don't.

i guess i'm lucky but i don't have any issues with mine. we work together and he actually understands the meaning of the word communication and that if i'm not successful, neither is he. my compnay as well will allow us to fire our dm if it isn't happening and get another one. so far i haven't had to use this option but if the need ever arises, will not hesitate to.

i guess you could say i protected myself by doing a year's worth of research and homework and going with a smaller and better than average company where the drivers didn't have these kinds of complaints
