They did a study between door slamers and chimpanzees. They proved chimps were 32% slower. Of course, they were better with public relations.

And of course, to each his own however I can't believe you could or would approve the transfer of any flammable on the side of the interstate. One of the biggest safety violations here is the lack of a controlled area. You have cars whizzing by at 70, no ground, no flare, no containment and no fire suppression. Some years back a bobtail was delivering to a facility with A CONTROLLED AREA and had a hose rupture, he didn't even make it to the front of the truck before he burned to death.

Had a trooper wandered by I believe he would still be writing citations today. Propane and the other light ends off crude are extremely volatile. They can be easily set off by static electricity among other things.

My point: there was zero safety measures in place during this event. The boys weren't even using a vapor recovery / equalization hose. Had a motor vehicle tagged this package during the transfer , well lets say not good.

Personally, I have years of transferring chemicals and gasses, it's what I do. I've hauled some nasty stuff including liquid H2 and H202, what I saw is strictly forbidden by most antibody's standards including the law.

Tell you what, Goggle some propane explosions on you tube, theres a good one of a 65,000 pound rail car being thrown in the air from the explosion and I'm sure there's more.

You seem to be forgetting the fact that you're driving a CMV on a public road. You have no right to privacy, because a mistake you make as a driver has the potential to be deadly to you, or someone else. Your bad driving habbits are my business, as well as the business of everyone else on the highway.

Well, the personal attacks continue and the yuck yuck of the one line counter-quoters that are probably the ones I'm talking about, continues.

The serious question of how to police ourselves without resorting to assaulting or ratting, or any other productive and constructive methods is not forthcoming on this board.

    Why?

May I suggest that the reason is because there are no practical alternatives?

Although I may agree with you, and liken some of these cheesy YouTube video's as nothing more than immature people doing the "look at him screw-up, don't watch me" dance, the fact is these video's capture some of US doing bone-headed things.

Personally, I take that as a challenge to make sure I improve myself so as not to do the same thing....or as an example of something to watch out for.

Heck how many government video's do you see. There was one the other day, in Dallas where a tour bus ran smack into the butts of cars on a ramp that was backing up. Didn't hit his brakes till just before impact and then you don't see the brake lights on at all, because he was trying to steer the bus instead of locking it up and going straight into more cars.

Folks, we're getting videotaped everyday. So unless you start a mass political movement to do away with these cameras that are going to document you and every terrorist face that comes through an airport... you better get used to it and learn to be on the ball, as we all should be anyway, 100% of the time. Minimize our moments of "doh" because as we used to watch on tv in my age group.

    "SMILE, YOU'RE ON CANDID CAMERA".
