you could take off the bad tire/rim and just run a single rim/tire on both sides of the axle if you meet weight requirements.

You are allowed to drive the vehicle to a parking haven where repairs can be made. This doesn't mean drive to a repair shop 50 miles away if you pass by a scalehouse. The scalehouse counts as a parking haven, and you WILL get a OOS violation if you try to continue passed the scalehouse. However, if you were to tell the scalemaster your situation and ask if you can park there until repairs are made, the scalemaster might forget you said anything about a blown tire. No harm, no foul. Contuining on is a irresponsible and idiotic thing to do.

Your statements show you made up your mind before you started reading.
If you had read all off this carefully,then you would have seen that the OP stated in his first posts that the remaing tyre was allready hot when he still had 140 miles to go.
So my dear sir,i suggest you assume less and read more.
A tyre with a slow leak isn't the same as running with a blown tyre. -

You need to calm down brah. I don't know where in this thread I suggested that I do stuff like this all the time, but I don't. I have only gone over my 14 hours once in 2012, even though I can technically run a 16 once a week, being I return home every day. I do solid pre and post trips every day. I run legal weight-wise even though I never go through scales.

As a line haul driver you are given a few extra hours a week on your 14, so extending your 14 to 16 is legal. -

I had a bad circumstance, with a hot load in a daycab with no one to fix it. And 42k on 11 tires is still less than 34k on 8 tires -
It doesn't matter how minute you think a mistake was. Also, that wasn't a mistake because you CHOOSE to continue driving with a blown tire. A mistake is not a mistake when you choose to do it. Driving 70+mph with a blown tire was another dumb thing to do, especially when you previously knew the other tire was hot. Do you want a accident? Do you want to kill someone? The load may be hot, but you need to remember one thing, and remember it well: no load is worth your life or the life of someone else. A good employer will not fire you because you refused to drive their faulty equipment. If they did fire you, then they did you a favor as they aren't worth driving for. -
A blown trailer tire is not endangering anyone's life. And when did I say I went 70+? I specifically said that it was a long drive because I kept it under 60 when I normally go 75. But whatever man
