I need $500k in Non Trucking Liability and Comp/Collision for my 04 Dodge 3500 in order to be an RV Transporter. I have 3 quotes from Progressive, Brown and Brown and CCR. Anyone have a company they would recommend?
Thanks
Scott

OOIDA
Owner Operator Independant drivers Association. Not the cheapest but very honest and great coverage.
A non profit insurance company -
You should consider unladen liability . With nontrucking liabilty there is too much potential for insurers to say you aren't covered . For example , RV haulers are required to log when returning for another load . They say that's when you need nontrucking liability . The company providing nontrucking liability will say you are not covered because you are required to log.
With unladen liability you are always covered when not pulling a load.

I'm late to the party as usual. Just got home from a run. I have a 05 Dodge 3500. $44 a month for $1 million in NTL through Brown and Brown. Got a quote of $246 a month from the same insurer for comp/collision. Hope this helps.

It does, thank you.

Uhm just curious.....why does he need non trucking liability in that quantity? Hooked to a RV for delivery, he's a commercial operation just like a big boy and just like pizza boy. After dropping RV he could become pvt. citizen again and pull his signs ( assume no mty trailer ) and move anywhere under his "auto" policy to any point he wants.
If you ask a Ins. carrier then they will say he needs bobtail to get home / back UNLESS he's dispatched to return to the load point.
Isn't he subject to the same terms as we are? -
Most likely he is under permanent lease to the transport company and possibly required to log when unloaded. Usually the only DOT number is on the signs so removing them would be a violationyetti028 Thanks this.
