    easier said than done! But definetly true! Which is what im going to do
    gonna find a load to al and start calling shippers! Seems they have way more loads than trucks ! Which is were i need to be........

    I guess if it was easy every one would be doing it.......
    Wouldnt mind pulling tanker for qc but havent made the money to buy the trailer... Lol

    Yeah! Been calling ronak from landstar here in lexington has the trane ac account! $2.00 a mile to nowhere laughs when i say $2.50.. Lol
    they got us independants by the balls!
    Big companies! "hey lets hire a bunch oh dispatchers get all the frieght then give it to every other broker and push it off on the little guy for minimum wage!lol

    Hmmmm....you seem to be the only one having this problem (sitting) .... I am independent, I have been avg better than $700 per day an have slept in my bed every night I live in northwest Ohio and go no farther east than Cleveland, west of Chicago, south of Lexington, hang this way for a couple of weeks go home then come back. I only have a couple of direct customers, thats when I have to leave my bubble but other than that I have found a nice pattern around here.

    Not knocking the LS guys, not in the least. But, if your getting 75% of 3.00 owning your own trailer. That's dropping you back to 2.25 with the rest of us. Where I see the benefits to LS is the fact you guys don't have to pay Cargo Ins. That's gotta help quite a bit with operating expenses...

    Not really, cargo insurance is cheap. I think mine is less than a grand a year.
    The benefit is in keeping the wheels turning, at a fair rate.

    Extra loads - on the spot pricing. As opposed to contract loads.
