Its Millis time...

You know it sam...he can hardly contain himself. He keeps it fun though that's for sure.

 

That would be great db. We did the 500 today, went pretty good for the most part. I can upshift fine, am having a little trouble with the down shifting though. I was pretty happy with how I did considering it was the first time in something that big. dmgabe is a natural, he was shifting up and down pretty good. Our other classmate is taking a little longer to catch on but he is coming along. Overall its going good, its kind of nice just having 3 in class. We each had our own truck today so we got a lot of drive time.

 

Well day 4 is in the books. Tomorrow we will be coupling/uncoupling, pre trip and backing. We got to meet a couple of the road trainers today, got some good info from them. One has been with Millis for 17 years and the other 13 if I remember correctly. We have met a lot of drivers with 10 plus years.
I am very impressed with all the people I have come in contact with at Millis. From the recruiters to the drivers to the guys in the shop, everyone is very helpful and friendly.

 

Week 1 at MTI Trenton is finished. Today we spent all day on the pad. Got to run some more laps, with a trailer this time. Spent a good part of the day doing straight line backing and got to couple/uncouple a
few times.
We have learned a lot so far and it has been a blast. Bill is going on vacation next week so we will have Woody for an instructor. I hope he is as good as Bill, he def makes it fun.

 

Well all rested up and ready for week 2. Looking forward to all the driving this week. We went to the terminal today for a bit and worked on our pretrip a little. It was nice to get out of the hotel for awhile.
