well depends on what they're running as to what kind of miles you'll get......what i do know about it is about 4 weeks ago i was at the window and there was a guy there begging for se regional but she told him they're only giving it to guys that live in the atlanta area running out of the OD drop yard we've got down there......now whether or not that's just a line she shot him i don't know but was standing there when she told him that

i talked to a guy last october that was running it and used to post on here and he said he was going back otr because he was only getting around 2000 miles a week and it just wasn't enough. that's not current info but that's the last i heard from someone who was doing it. may have changed by now or not i don't know/

Thanks for the info. I was figuring about that maybe a little more. I think this will be the route I will take, all I have heard is good things about this company, which as yall know that is getting harder and harder. The information given here is great and I say thanks. I will post when I am with the company.

I have a WORLD RECORD for a company I picked up from today! I went to Husqvarna in Orangeburg at 0700 for pick up. I was only there 1 time before with trainer and it was UGLY! Guys fighting over doors, complaining they had waited for 10-12 hours to get loaded...there was almost a fight that broke out between 2 drivers...it was INSANE! I'd also read and heard about the place...so I show up at 0700...place is COMPLETELY DEAD! Turned out it was a live load....so I said....great I didn't sleep good so I can get a good nap in....WRONG I was done and out of there by 0830!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you FREAKIN' BELIEVE IT? I swear I was still asleep...pinching myself going down the road...even driving slow thinking I was dreaming of driving, hey it actually happens, you guys know it! Welp, back home for the weekend...FINALLY got 1788 in 3 days and gotta 598 to finish(489 to go) for Monday.....so NOW I'M TRUCKING! Have a good weekend all. Guess that d amn sausage biscuit I gave DM Tuesday helped? haha

the few times i've been there it was 4-5 hrs each time......last time was supposed to be a preload and wasn't and ended up 5hrs that time too......with 4hrs left when i went in.....so i got to spend a 10 in lovely orangeburg......you won't get that joke unless you're from sc like i am lol......and just as much of a cluster as the few times i'd been there previously....so many guys backed up and behind and waiting there was hardly enough room to get a spot in the staging area......

had a #### week this week.......317 and 8hr live load......254 and 5 hr live load......287 and 4.5hr live unload......613 and only good miles all week.....187 and then drop with no empty.....but of course they were showing we had 2 empties there......don't think they have a clue where about a 1/3 of these trailers are as many times as i get somewhere and they say "pick up empty xxxxx" and nothing there......anyway, it was an IP load that went to literally a watermeon patch with an open air concrete dock about the size of our trailer shop that was in bridgeville, deleware......then got bounced 180 miles bobtail to pick up an empty in chesapeake and then another 380 that delivers monday and nowhere near getting through the house.....so......2056 for the week on the 2nd week out....the way i like to run and the way i've been running for that i might as well have just stayed at home....pretty consistent too is that out more than a week and the first week is good and the second one sucks....no matter if you reset or run a recap

delivered in blackstone to a little beverage distributor thursday.....alot of fun getting in that one....reminded me of when i drove a 28' straight truck part-time weekends when i was doing the airport gig....ran that one up into rural west virginia into some back alleys delivering sales papers to the little newspapers up there....had to put that straight truck into places a car would barely fit....this place was the same way....had to put that 53 into a hole a straight truck would be tight in lol.....getting onto the side street where they are was tight enough.....stopped short to get the lay of the land and ended up pulling way into the mcdonalds parking lot directly across from them and then backing from there across the street into the hole.....the locals trying to use the drivethru weren't thrilled lol.....but gotta use the space you've got to work with....no way you'd back into that one off the street.....

gotta give the temp props though.....thursday sent him a message told him i'd been out 2 weeks again and needed to get to the house for a day or two and he said roll through the house with this one and figured the OOR miles into the load......so i got home this weekend and got paid for the extra miles to get there too......he was on the ball all week and i didn't sit between loads but the loads were #### and i sure did enough sitting while i was on them.....

thought i was going to get through the week without seeing a rollover but coming down the hill at the 145 on 81 around hazelton someone laid over a set of doubles......looked like he backed it up against the mountain perfectly and then fell over.....perfect 90 to the road and laid over on his passenger side....that was some serious over-correction.....at least it was off the right side of the road and not the left.....that would have been a looooonnggg way down if he had gone over the left side.....

good to be home finally with momma and the doggies.....but only a 34 this time....would have hoped for a little more than that after being out awhile but the way things have been going the last 4-6 weeks glad to get that.....

Hey Flyingmusician...Glad you made it home safely again! I'm still going crazy waiting till I get to start school. I've been watching youtube videos of trucking and even watching a couple guys with a live feed via Ustream. That gets boring after about 30 sec. cause you just see out their window.

I still have Epes at the top of my list and getting all my ducks in a row. Planning on what electronics I want in a truck with me as well as other essentials. I'm working on getting the cost of school paid for through the WIA. We'll see if I can get that accomplished.

    Tick Tock...Tick Tock...Tick Tock.......:smt068
