    I'd try a Haney before a swap:biggrin_25519:

    But a B or C ain't a bad way to go.

A 6nz are one of the best electronic engines Cat made. What is the horse power and torque???? As a cat tech I would keep the 6nz but compare specs. be for you do something you regret

I am not a big fan of electric engines myself, a 3406b has so many options to offer you and no computer is needed.

Just my penny in the jar

Idk you can make real good horsepower out of the c15 id go that route before trying to do a swap but I will say I love the 3406b!!

we get that all the time with mechanic guys, but a 6nz c15 is different then a bxs or mxs c15 and all of them are different from a mechanic. electronic engine has as much or more to offer then a mechanic. I have ran power checks on both on a dyno. Mechanic guys screw in the fuel setting screws on the pump and think all the black smoke coming for the pipes is power. No it is money, all that black smoke is unburn fuel and then they wonder why they have overheats or burn holes in pistons.
Mechanic engine can not get the mpg that a electronic engine can get. the problem we get from guys that switch from a mechanic to a electronic engine is that they think they have to rev those rpms out to max before shifting and the new electronic engines have lower torque curves then mechanics for better mpg. I have not seen an a,b,or c that can offer up to 625hp

Burned pistons are the biggest problem of a turned up mechanical

With a stock motor it could be but if the pump and injectors are correct you should not have to worry about it, now if you just go screwing up the adjustments out of proportion yes you have the possibly. Bad injectors are the major fault, they do not atomize properly and turns it into a cutting tip.
