Least you can rest up for the rest of your trip
Well finally got to leave Allied this morning.... Got there at 1400 something, appointment was 1500, loaded at 2035, dealt with r/a til bout 0300 this morning due to the locking pins on the sliding axle not locking. Had to have a guy from the T/A in Gary come out n fix it. Was supposed to go up through Wis, but due to the kingpin law and a 44,000+ pound load, I went through Iowa instead. Drop my first 2 drops in the AM n head for the 90

Not to sounds like an idiot but explain the king pin law in Wis. I am assuming you have a drop deck trailer. I never pulled one in training.
-
would not even worry about kingpin law...just drive
-
Wisconsin has a law like Cali does. Have to have the axles closed goin through Wis. Which makes them tandems, which limits you to 34,000 pounds
-
Oh ok, new about the tandem being closed thought maybe there was something different with the kingpin. Also, thought FL, NY, CT and IN were the same way.
-
They are the same way. Only good thing is makes for a light load
-
thats the only good thing finally got loaded this morning around 0100 doesnt take that place long to load just dont expect to get loaded early they need more than one bay there
-
Im getting accustomed to this step behind me... Had it for almost a week now lol Well see if I keep it tomorrow
-
you can have it....u are going to keep it so u get used to it again going to have to trade you back to the reefer side
-
Wish I had my 48 flat back... Got loaded, drove almost 90 miles, scaled.... overweight on tandems. Have to slide the axes closed to drive through 4 states. So I drove all the way back to the 01, now I gotta wait til the AM to get some took off.
