Unsafe Truck Drivers

Someone other than ATA.

 

Someone in the Congress would have to take up the idea that transportation workers are more than just "meat in the seat" for things to change.

 

I've never heard the term "haypenny". Ive been on the Ha'penny bridge tho.

 

I would guess getting someone who actually gives a crap and has a clue about trucking up there besides clowns like Bill Graves who thinks a pickup or delivery van is a truck. William Graves should have smacked Bill upside the head a little more and made him actually go out and run one of their trucks for a few years.

 

That might happen if the government makes a TWIC mandatory for all CDL holders. Can't pass the background check, no CDL.

 

TWIC is a joke,

almost anybody can get it....

 

Guess that y isn't supposed to be in there... Instead of my "two-cents", it's my "1/2 cent"...

 

Great idea, but just like in Cali on the TRUCK bypass lanes, you would have 4-wheelers taking it to avoid 'traffic'!!

 

I have people 'call me out' on the CB for 'speeding up' when I have my cruise control set, I drive with my cruise 95% of the time. They tend to start to pass on a slight uphill and don't have enough power to get around me, yet it's MY fault. They need to understand that while they have a little more power initially, they lose power while my truck continues to climb right on up the hill.

 

All very interesting reading material I had no idea existed being a noob (in reference to the ATA, TWIC & Mr. Bill Graves); I don't know if a TWIC will help though ... but maybe some sort of ID in that sense - and do truckers really need another organized association to compete against the ATA? Or do we just need to organize?
