Hi, I'm considering working for Greatwide doing this Albuquerque milk run. Do you still feel it is a great company? The reviews seem to be mixed, but I understand everybody has a different experience.
Thanks.

I work for them doing the milk run in Albuquerque. It's a pretty easy job pay is decent the trucks can be better but they keep up with them. Good luck

Greatwide is a terminal to terminal account to account type job.. Some accounts are great some are not.. The milk is (was) really good when I did it. Wal mart not so much. -
OK Ladyred and WOT do not agree about GW...That has nothing to do with me...I drive for Am-Can/Greatwide in SC...It is a good company to drive for...they treat their drives like family at this location...Office people and dispatch know the drivers by name and face...Trucks are not new...600K-700K...but trucks are kept up...Not a lot of break downs....Truck will get you from east coast to west coast and back without leaving you on the side of the road...

Greatwide sux, have me pay for tolls, give me run around try not to reimbursed me. I'm not even O/O.

As a company driver it is probably pretty good.. as an o/o its kind of hard to make it.

I drive for Greatwide as an O/O at a Walmart terminal. As a company they suck. They are not really a trucking company. They are somebodies idea of an investment. They have no assets. They are losing accounts to Swift. The only thing they have going for them is the hometime. I am home daily. Which apparently makes me put up with a lot of b.s. Swift is taking over my terminal next month, so I will no longer be a Greatwide driver. If Swift is a step up from Greatwide, that should tell you all you need to know, lol.

Great wide logistics ( owner ops ) and gw dedicated ( co. drivers ) is a huge and complex outfit so you have to be more specific. also they just changed ownership and things seem to be going downhill. they lost the fl. walmart account to swift. they lost tyson. they destroyed dallas mavis. I did kroger for them and 5 months was all I could take. money was good only if you were willing to do HOS violations. trucks were horrible. BE SAFE

Tyson was the biggest account they had. I liked it. Once it went away, I went away. No way would I have stayed on just for Walmart or Kroger.

I noticed GW put an ad in the local paper here in the Panhandle looking for owner operators to haul milk. I currently haul milk and was thinking of checking them out. If anyone has any information on them and thier lease, please let me know. Any information would be appreciated.
