I hope you get finished up this week. IMO training should be a contiguous event, no breaks, like boot camp.

Hang in there, ALT-1. You'll be upgrading before you know it.

    Keep the posts coming, buddy.

    ATL-1 Thanks this.

Hi all I will be graduating from TDI next Friday and have gotten pre hires from many but think I am leaning towards USX! The recruiter told us that training was different for dedicated routes and was some times hard to get with a trainer! I am hoping to get in on the dollar general dedicated route here in the upstate of SC. Does any body know much bout how the dedicated routes are and training? I tried to call my pre hire recruiter but when shes there I am in class everyday lol

Just a drop yard. Small lounge and crappy showers.

Anybodys miles fell off in the last week or two? Maybe i am just paranoid, staying booked everyday, just on way shorter runs. And...no...no service issues, always on time/ahead

This week seems like its been a little slow to me, but I think we still did okay considering we had 2 loads cancel and like you said, everything has been short. The loads have been picking up in the morning and delivering the same day, then we sit all night and do the same thing the next day. We are on our way home now, so it won't be a full week for us anyway though.

My girlfriend/trainee has been driving almost all the miles even though we've been allowed to run as a team for a little over a week, but we've only had one load that we had to do that. She is actually ready to upgrade and will be doing that right after our home time.

I've only drove maybe 1000-1200 miles for the last 2 pay periods.

My last 2 weeks total paid miles on the Midwest Regional Fleet: 6491

Good luck AMT! Enjoy the meager facilities at Shippensburg. I really love (not) whatever that stuff their parking lot is made of and how it is now all over the floor of my truck.

We're are finally on our way home. Yesterdays load picked up in Aspers, PA and went to Indy, which we dropped at the Indy yard. While looking for an MT there and waiting for further instructions, I got nosy and looked in the permit boxes of the loaded trailers there to see where they were going (and to make sure they were really loaded and not just sealed so someone could save an MT for themselves).

I found one that was headed to Holland, MI, about an hour from our home and only one block of the highway right on the way there. Nice! I called in to dispatch to see if we could get that load and head on home, and a few minutes later the assignment came through and we were on our way.

After we got all hooked up, I noticed that it didn't deliver until Tuesday morning, but we stopped in on our way by and they took it early.

Must be all that clean living that I do!

Today marks 7 weeks that I've been out and I have so much I want to do, hopefully I can get some of the important things done and not just screw around.

Talk to you all later, be safe!

NoCoCraig, Wedge and Tomegg Thank this.
