And you people wonder why most of the "public" hold a low opinion of the industry. I believe that makes case closed for the argument that the worst enemies this industry faces is not some green movement, nor some new law or device. It is the very people who whine the most about those problems and propose child like fits to further alienate those we could use as allies. Makes as much sense as the arse pipe who decides in protest of a noise ordinance to install straight pipes and run around the parking lot with his jake on like a kindergartner on crack.
Good plan you schmucks. I'm sure it will garner all the attention you want just not in any useful fashion.

I would offer you a hug, it sounds like you need it. Let me know where you stop at and I will share my Chicom APU with you, maybe even some cold air.Flip Flops Thanks this.

which was his point. we have laws regarding excessive heat and animals but a truck driver should be forced to to get the mandated rest so as not to be fatigued and cant idle to maitain a comfortable sleeping environment?
I work for the same company as the OP , I think most of the fleet are now the clean air idle stickered trucks. If not those others should be in Obetz Ohio up for sale soon enough!! ( there are more used for sale trucks there than in service company vehicles!!) -
You missed my point and it's my fault. I was refering to a post that tinytim made and stated that you could run the truck to cool the inside of the truck for your comfort. I pushed the reply with quote key but I guess I didn't press hard enough.
It's fine to ignore a law as long as you know you're breaking the law and it has no effect on others. I always try to give a reference so our newer drivers can look for themselves and undertstand the law or regulation. I would hate to see a driver lose his or her job because of something that was said here by someone that is just talking off the top of their head. I believe if you quote the law give the reference.
Just a couple of days ago there was a post about placarding. There were some many different answers and some could get that driver into trouble in a second. So I like to show where the regulations are so they can figure it out on their own. As far as idling the truck when it's hot outside I did it all the time. I came out of the desert and after dropping and hooking sets I'll be ###### if I'm going to get into a hot cab. But just as you, I knew the law and took the chance.CondoCruiser Thanks this. -
it is plausible that tazz and mndriver are indeed one and the same.Flip Flops Thanks this. -
You need to go get laid or something. You seem to be one stressed out person. Always pointing out everyone's faults....or what you deem as faults.
Go get in a fight, get drunk, laid...something....cause you sure seem to be stressed over what everyone else does.
Your friendly schmuck.......Flip Flops, aiwiron, ShootThis and 2 others Thank this. -
I love to fart in my bunk; the act relaxes me. But the problem with it is, there is practically no breeze, even with the windows open. I have no choice but to idle and let the rear AC run so to pump fresh air into the cab and the stale air out the windows.

Gee sophmoric humor never gets old does it? I hear there will be yet another Jack off movie. I'm sure it will be uite the hit with you guys.
Meanwhile in the real world when you set out to annoy the public you invite more restrictions. If you would like proof look up Lynchburg Bike Week. Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Look into the arguments for those insipid split speed limit states and counties. Some are EPA based and some are because yack offs felt like blowing doors through metro areas. Lane restrictions, the previously mentioned cross bars.
You'll forgive me for pointing out tantrums like your pals plans do little to improve the image the industry puts out from a few juvenile delinquent's attitudes.
But hey no fear instead of intelligent response or rebuttal your pal will have a clever quip or picture for your numbed mind to laugh at shortly. -
Who said I was attempting humor?
I wish my mind was numbed with some Jack Daniels right now. To hell with a picture. -
That was pointed at the excuse for humor above yours worrying over my mental well being.
