Long story short. 2012 Volvo Cummins ISX. Had DEF failure in Dallas 3 weeks ago. Dealer replaced a few parts. Truck ran good for 2000 miles then started the same crap. Get up to West Virginia, quits. Dealer says the SCR catalyst. Takes 2 days to get next day air freight in. Cummins ships the wrong one in. There are only 4 in the whole country. All are mixed boxed. Cummins has been dragging their feet. Been stuck in a hotel for 10 days and supposedly the right one should be here Friday morning. By some chance its not cause Cummins track record is in the porta potty , can the SCR be bypassed? To me it seems just like a big ### catalytic converter on a car and being from the south I know how redneck it and bypass but not so sure on a big truck. I know the dealer will not say due to EPA regs and BS warranty etc ......I just want to get this thing somewhat closer to home.
Bypass the SCR catalyst?
