yes it can; some companies won't hire for the charges u say u have. others on the other hand will tell u that the felony has to be 5, 7, or 10 yrs old before they will even give u ANY kind of consideration. then there are some who won't hire felons @ all. i'm going thru the same thing right now myself. don't give up just keep applying

You will probaby have to do one of two things. Either stick with applying at smaller companies or go to Carolina Cargo. People in the trucking industry are a patriotic bunch for the most part so your military service after the felony could help at smaller companies where reasoning is allowed still. Carolina Cargo is well known in the industry for giving felons a chance.Last edited: Jul 20, 2012

crst takes people with felonies but you will also have to run their ugly arse trucks!!!

It can only hold you back if you let it. And don't let people tell you that you'll "have" to work for a bottom feeder either.

That's going to be a tough one. Its really not that old. Your best bet is to just call around to the different companies and talk to some recruiters about your situation.

Your military background should help alot if it is indeed after that charge. How did the military let you in?

i would call companies before i'd invest in school.
