A million miles, even with a few tickets is a milestone for sure, achieving it with no accidents, is definitely an atta boy, your company should be giving you a plaque and watch to go with it.
I attain neither of those aquiring a million miles, sad to say, but the experiences did not go to waste.

When I went to work for a major carrier, I attended, months of hands on driver's training schools, including Liberty Mutual's Decision Making Course (skid control school). Over the next two decades I spent the next 750,000 miles in the shotgun seat where I was able to relate safe driving to new drivers so they could avoid my pitfalls, shortcomings and experiences and hopefully avoid them for themselves. IMHO

I've been driving for 37 years come this Oct 17th. I have had no accidents Thank God and a lot of Luck..I am right at 3 million and 7 hundred thousand miles as of this week..I have had my share of those Driving awards over the years around 12 in 37 years..The last speeding ticket was appx 14 years ago..But I got a new one 3 weeks ago for not obeying a traffic sign to make a detour onto I264 in Louisville,Ky..Although I could not get over without running another truck off the road or slowing down and letting a four wheeler rear end me.Beside's I tried to explain to the Trooper that I was just going to exit 131A about a half mile down the road to make a delievery..A full 5 miles below the construction..He would hear no part of it..So a $20 dollar fine with $134.00 Court cost for a ticket for $154.00 total..And to beat it all to hell I've had two lawyer's send me letter's wanting to go to court for me...Imagine pay him $600.00 dollars or better to save $154.00..Just don't make sense huh????? Oh well my wonderful and colorful 37 year's on the road..I would'nt have changed it if i could have...LOL

Congrats Bigdog58, I remember convoying a few states when I started, but you were dodging bullets the whole time durring the 79 Trucker's strike. That was earning a stripe the hard way.

2.3 million in 22yrs. I decided early on that if I have the break the law to feed my family, I'd rather rob banks.(bending them, that's a different question)
Got caught a couple times in the left lane, wasn't paying attention a couple other times when circumstances changed too quickly to swerve, but no fatalities (thank God).
