Those are all helpful posts. Had a tractor like your talking about...turns out the guy was using a frydaddy or someting to cook french fries and such. Wife picked up some Orange Clean from the dollar store and some green stuff also from the dollar store and they both worked great. Used resolve to clean spots on the carpet but used a liquid carpet cleaner and a hand steamer to clean and suck up the liquid from the carpet. It was a mess--looks bran spankin' new! Good Luck man!

They got this stuff at walmart called " Tuff Stuff" it's a carpet cleaner, in a yellow and red can.. But it will clean any #### thing.

It's what I use. It's a foaming type spray, but I'd spray it on a towel, then rub scrub whatever needs cleaning. Works perfectly for those grimy filthy steering wheels, door panels, floor boards, dash..whatever basically. Give it a try, stuff is only like 3.50 a can. I used to keep a can or 2 in the truck, for accidents and what not.

Just have plenty of towels on hand. I never used paper towels, not sure if they'd work..probably just rip apart.

Tuff Stuff and a scrub brush and paper towels or just an old towel. Always worked for me!

Tiff stuff is the cleaner I use most. Simple green also but tiff stuff works better IMO.

I do not recommend spraying it on a rag for most jobs as it is a foaming cleaner. Its purpose is to break loose and lift up dirt. Wipe itboff when the foam turns brown but not much after and you'll get all the dirt and dust around your gauges and switches you never got before.

Just be careful though, in enough of our tractors it strips the writing off the switch.

I have used simple green, formula 409, Pinesol etc, all seem to work pretty good. But you can't use paper towels for initial cleanings, they won't hold up to any real scrubbing, regular wash cloths and towels. Back everything up with a detailer of your choice, I prefer to use mothers products. For carpets, nothing works as good as a scrub brush, a bucket of water with your choice of cleaner in it and a good old shop vac. The main thing is to rinse what ever you scrubbed real good because soap residue is like a magnet when it comes to dirt. Really bad windows, I use white vinegar and water and used news papers. I use regular glass cleaners as touchup afterwards.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will do wonders on vinyl and plastic. Make sure you keep it wet, or it'll crumble, and it works better with hot water than cold. Its a mild abrasive fiber pad, so it'll get down into the small cracks, and get off some of the stuff that detergents and rags won't. Went over my old vinyl seat a dozen times with simple green, orange clean, 409, etc., but nothing got it as clean as 5 minutes with a magic eraser. Got all the deep grease stains out of the old white plastic steering wheel, too.
