When I shaged trailers and 5th wheel grease got on the air lines and pigtail, which is a B**** to clean off by itself. I would use Simple Green and a shop rag to clean them. I also used the simple green on the steering wheel and 5th wheel lift lever.

Ive used greased lightning diluted 1:1 with water and a old white tshirt for the deep cleaning then armoral wipes or foaming glass cleaner for the touch ups. Would like to try a little handheld steamer but that might be more of a pain than its worth.

When I was in the Air Force we just had the airmen do it. Worked pretty good.

I was going to ask the mechanic, but he didn't look too happy and had a light torch in his hand. I didn't want to push my luck!!!:biggrin_25512:
