cool... well i can't think of any more questions... now its time to start packing and preparing for my 22hr bus ride there.

 

They will charge a deposit on things like tire chains, load securement items, trailer lock, etc. but you will get that back if you quit and check all that stuff back in. Wolfy is right. They reimburse you for almost everything. Just be safe and don't be late with your loads and you will be just fine!

 

What do most of the teams drive as far as equipment. Do any of you have sat T.V.?

I have the Cascadia...on order is Peterbuilt's , Volvo 780's...and I hear they are testing a couple others.
With that being said....they will team in any truck that had two beds ...including KW 660 ( they have some studio 86" sleepers as well)

Trading ours in September 589k on it..hoping Pete or Volvo (which I hear is an auto)

 

petes would be nice... i feel as if petes are the cadillacs of the trucking industry lol but i could be wrong... I did some research on volvo 780s and my research has dug up that a lot of them are 10spds so lets not get our hopes up! Besides, i automatics just don't seem to last as long. Oh well, i'll be happy driving anything as long as its quiet and gets the job done!

 

what does con-way start an exp. driver at?

 

what is the preemployment alcohol screen? Do they mouth swab or breathalyze?

yeah they do one. or so my recruiter told me. I want to have a few brewski's with my dad tonight before i leave because i wont see him again for about 2 months. And monday morning im getting alcohol tested along with drug screened, dot physical, the works. i don't think i should have anythign to worry about
