1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

first i'd like to say thank you for your advice, every little bit helps and it also gives me a basis to work around. I plan on buying a truck and leasing on to a citrus hauler. I do have experience with flat bed, but i have more in recovery. The only thing is that it's all army and no one really acknowledges it. Not insurance, and not finance companies.

I'm willing to take a hit from the insurance but if it works out to just be to silly, then i'll sign under my dad and it should lower it a great deal. My whole plan is to buy a truck and get my authority and lease on to citrus company during the season and then take my truck and hook it up to a flatbed and run freight during the off season.

ebaugh is the one that wants to haul rock. i personally have no interest in tipping over. I know it's gonna be hard for both of us, but there's nothing in life that's easy. and i wouldn't be much of a person if every time i set a goal i changed my mind just because i hit a bump in the road..

If i come to a situation that i can not remedy or find a way around, then yes i will drop it and try something else, but right now i've been able to mitigate all of the possible situations can/will occur so i see no reason not to proceed.

I just joined the forum this morning but have visiting for a while. I live in Tampa and am currently not working. I have all of the endorsments except passenger bus-TWIC card-no tickets/accidents/DUI's. Any suggestions? Lokking for local, not picky at this point!
