The pros, it looks kinda cool.

    The cons, there's a reason it's called a Freightshaker.

Unless it's one of those late model ones, I'd stay away.

It's a cheap way to get started ! As with any truck purchase, make sure that you inspect it as well as you can.

Sometimes difficult to work on. Kind of cramped if you get the dogbox style. Make sure you have everything on floor and fire extinguisher is bolted in good or you'll be replacing the windshield a lot. Cheap to run. Very bouncy ride.

I have one, it's great little truck. Mine is a 149 wheelbase, 1996 model. I thought the ride would be choppy, but it turned out not to bad, I have driven worst trucks before. Interior is a bit cramped. I don't think it's the best choice for long distance. What motor does it have?

That's good. But very true. I drove an ole International cabover. You have to crawl over the doghouse to get in your sleeper. But you can back that puppy into just about any hole. Your shifter is kinda like a joystick. You had better have it in neutral before you raise the cab. Yes, it is a rough ride. But you get used to it.

If you plan on signing it on with a carrier, make sure they don't have an age limit on equipment.

    Ranger70 Thanks this.
