Well after thinking long and hard I've decided to give Melton a chance. I really like what i hear so fat from the recruiter and drivers alike and think that will be a great place to work. I picked flat bed because i like a challenge and a little bit of hard work, plus i wouldn't mind the exercise. I can't wait to leave CRST. Not saying they haven't treated me good our anything, I'm just tired of teaming and I've always wanted to go to Melton since I've became a driver. CRST actually had been good to me, so i recommend them to others. Anyway i just wanted to know from other flatbeders and other Melton drivers what can i expect driving flat need and are there any secrets you wouldn't mind passing on? Thanks everyone for the responses to come.

    Welcome to Melton!
I am a current Melton driver and have had a lot of success with. I of course have had little issues here and there, but that is just how life goes.
I went from reefers to flatbeds, and it was the best decision I ever made. I too like the physical work to go along with the driving, and I just find it much more interesting. I have delivered to some relly odd locations and have had a chance to meet some really good people that are actually appreciative that you brought their stuff, not like your typical dock worker who just thinks you are another annoyance.
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck and hope to see you out there; sounds like you've got a good attitude about it, so I think you will do just fine here.
