I have that view out of my bedroom window. I've always thought Pikes Peak to be anti-climatic. I thought it would be like Ranier, Shasta, Adams, etc. but I found it odd that I had been driving past it for years and never even knew it.
Where is the View that still impresses you?

The view of my garage door opening as I pull in after being out on the road. The view of my daughter's smiling face when I walk in the door!!
Wooly Rhino and last 1 Thank this. -
The old 395 in CA. north and south from four corners to Carson City. I-84 all along the Columbia river. Many places along the I-70 from Utah to Denver. I-40 north of Knoxville TN. The rest stops in North and South Carolina. Seeing the twin cities in Minnesota was cool for the first time during the summer of 1997. Main is nice if you like a lot of greenery. All of I-5 North of Redding CA. to Seattle WA. The I-17 from Phoenix AZ. to Flagstaff AZ. has a few cool spots. The I-25 from Santa Fe NM. up to Colorado Springs is a nice ride, and the I-80 from Reno NV. to the West Cost is a nice ride when the whether is good. These are just some of my favorites.

I have not been way out west to WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, NV, but have been through I80 in WY and all down 25 in CO, and across 40 in AZ and NM.
I would love to go there.
So from what I've seen, my votes go to the gorge in 40 between TN and NC, also coming down the hill from KY going into Cincinnati, also the road between Flagstaff and Phoenix was gorgeous the only time I have ever been on it, and it was during sunrise. I wish I could remember it better.
I also think the Ozarks in north AR and southern MO are beautiful.
I don't think anyone mentioned cities.
I think some cities can have some beautiful views. Of course Cincinnati was mentioned,
I also think Dallas is beautiful at night, of course the St. Louis Arch all lit up at night is really neat, OKC during Christmas time that building has lights on it in the shape of a cross, that is cool too. Memphis on the river is neat, and of course NYC is neat to see across the river from NJ. Although I really don't like being in NJ.
I'd really like to see Seattle one day.Wooly Rhino Thanks this. -
Completely amazing pictures of different places just proves there might just be a god.
And yes, these are my pictures. ^.^Last edited: Jul 30, 2012

US 12 in WA between Yakima and Chehalis gets my vote. Seeing the waterfalls and everything is beautiful.

as mundane as it may be to most, rolling east on I24 down monteagle and looking right has always been a fine view to me.i also find the view in my mirrors of the cluster trucks that i just passed most refreshing.i have always found that to be quite claustrophobic and i honestly feel as if i am allergic to being in the cluster-

I77 sb Fancy Gap. Come around the curve before the downgrade and BOOM~!!! nothing but valley. Pa is great as well. I 80 especially. Terrible road but I 86 near Jamestown New York. Theres a rest area there on Chautauqua Lake. Just awesome views.
Wooly Rhino, BoyWander and x#1 Thank this. -
Every time I see a Volcano I get all twittered. They are usually all covered in clouds and such but to see one on a clear day is still amazing. Makes me feel like a kid.
